Maranguka supports the Indigenous community of Bourke and their rights to 
assert data sovereignty through The Palimaa Data Platform. It is an innovative tool 
designed to put Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles into practice, guided by the Maranguka Safe, Smart and Strong Strategy. 
It is a secure, community-controlled platform that allows Bourke to store, manage, and access their data.

The platform offers customisable features, tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of community members. By integrating government data and community narratives while respecting cultural protocols, Palimaa ensures that data sovereignty is not only a concept but a tangible practice for Indigenous people in Bourke.

Seer Data & Analytics is working in partnership with evaluation and learning team Kowa Collaboration to support the Maranguka initiative by automating data access and datasharing from 15 data contributors into the Maranguka data collection.
